At Agile Business Consultants believe that microbusinesses are underserved and unvalued. So, we have established a microbusiness community to encourage, mentor, and coach them. Eighty percent of all small businesses are microbusiness, and they typically do not have the resources of other businesses. That is why we have established this community.

Who
There are 34.7 million small businesses in the US. Approximately 79% or 27 million of these businesses have less than 10 employees (microbusinesses). If we dive a little deeper, it’s estimated that 40% of all small businesses have revenues of less than $100,000 a year. That’s about $8,300 a month. Sole proprietor businesses average about $48,000 in revenue a year – that only $4,000 a month!
Why
The failure of small businesses is well documented. 20% of small businesses fail in the first year, 50% after five years and up to 70% fail after 10 years. The failure rates are different depending on industry and geography.
But the fact remains that in any given year approximately 24 million small businesses close. And the owners are typically left with nothing. They have lost their initial investment, which averages a few thousand dollars to tens of thousands or even more. Worse yet they are often straddled with company debt.
Information and Communication
Since this is a mentoring platform, we monitor and communicate with each client throughout their progress.
Discussion Boards
We all have questions about running our microbusinesses. Some can be very basic or very industry specific. The best place to get those questions answered is a discussion board. A place where microbusiness owners can ask questions and get answers from their peers. A nonjudgmental place that supports and encourages everyone. A place where success for every business in the community is the mantra.
